WARDROBE STAPLES: The A/W Essentials

Uniqlo have fallen slightly off my radar as of lately but during a recent impromptu visit into the store and online have dispelled all doubts once you see what bargains there are to be had! The thing I love about Uniqlo is it's no fuss approach, everything is neutral with no scary details or garish colours but rather minimal, clean and classically simple - something I've notice myself gravitate towards this year and it's a good reflection on the current mood of things regarding menswear.

Jil Sander has had amazing successful since it's SS11 collection and is now bringing her magic to Uniqlo and there couldn't be a better marriage between two brands, the J+ collection offers modern classic staple pieces at reasonable and affordable prices,  the cut and tailoring is impeccable and the quality is up to par with high end brands. The main range should not be overlooked either, the knitwear and jackets are the strongest but the best thing about all of it are the prices - The heavy gauge knit jumper is under £30 but looks expensive and can be worn all throughout winter, the camel chesterfield coat is probably the best investment piece because it's timeless and a classic piece every modern man should own. Needless to say, there's more where that came from that couldn't fit into this feature like the velvet blazer, tailored trousers, fairisle knit jumpers, trench coat and pea coats but don't let me bang on about it, find out for yourself!
